East Woodbridge

Next to West Woodbridge, you’ll find the community of East Woodbridge – which is actually made up of two smaller neighbourhoods, East Woodbridge and Elder Mills. These two enclaves have a lot in common, but there are a few distinctions too.

Why We Love East Woodbridge

Known for its suburban ambience, East Woodbridge is one of the most sought after neighbourhoods in Vaughan. With great homes, all the essential amenities nearby, and plenty of parks and green spaces, it’s got almost everything you could need. One of East Woodbridge’s major draws is the Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre which is home to more than 250 shops and restaurants.

On the north side of East Woodbridge, Elder Mills is a relaxed residential community known for its proximity to parks and nature. The neighbourhood’s crown jewel is the expansive Elder Mill’s Nature Reserve, a lush park featuring walking trails.

Making the neighbourhood easy for commuters, East Woodbridge’s proximity to major highways like the 400, 407, and 427, makes getting around incredibly easy. The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Subway Station (TTC) is also located in the neighbourhood, providing regular subway service into central Toronto and beyond.

Who Lives in East Woodbridge?

Similar to West Woodbridge, East Woodbridge caters very well to families. With great schools, a safe and laid-back atmosphere, and plenty to do, it’s not hard to see why the area is popular with parents looking to lay down roots. While fewer in population, there are some retirees and young professionals here too.

As a smaller neighbourhood, Edler Mills’ demographics are a little more uniform. Families with children account for more than two-thirds of the community. This adds to the down-to-earth and neighbourly atmosphere of the area.
